Five must do things for every woman visiting Las Vegas

Located in the middle of a dessert, Las Vegas is anything but. With outlandish casinos, over the top restaurants & lounges, this is the place where fellow revelers in town for a bachelor party walk alongside folks in suits here for an industry conference. Creativity is abundant, whether you are looking for art, shows, food, party or even love. Ask anyone who has been there what you should do, and they will rattle of a long list. For a woman visiting Las Vegas, here is our list of the top 5 things we recommend on the strip:

Things to do in Las Vegas

Watch a Cirque du Soleil show: You cannot leave Las Vegas without watching a Cirque Du Soleil show. Ranging from musical Love (Beatles) and One (Michael Jackson) to the mind defying Ka to the graceful Mystere – there are shows that will leave you awestruck. The training, coordination and presentation is impossible to put into words and can only be experienced live, and with the wide options available, Las Vegas is the place to do it!

Visit the Canal’s at Venetian: Take a short visit to Italy and ride the Gondolas alongside cafes – right in Las Vegas. With its decor (complete with blue skies), bridges, shops, and romantic songs of the gondoliers, you will transported to a different land. A must do for Vegas travelers!

Watch the Bellagio Fountain show: This one is obvious, and is going to be hard to miss. Located right in the center of strip, the majestic fountains dance and shoot water hundreds of feet into air synchronized to music. Shows are every 15 mins to 30 mins and last about 5-7 mins.

Ride the Roller Coaster at New York New York Hotel: Get your share of the Vegas screams and thrills at the Roller Coaster at NY NY hotel. This 2 minute ride will take you about 200 feet into the air followed by drops and twists and turns to keep you screaming the entire time. Even before you experience it for yourself, come anywhere close to this casino and you will hear the screams from folks brave enough to get on the rides.

Dip in the roof top pool: If making time to relax is part of your vacation plan, then sitting by the pool side is great way to do that. The pool at Stratosphere is not just any pool. It is located on the 25th floor with great views of the strip and the valley. Reserve a cabana to chill with your girls, or just hang out by the pool side to soak in the sun and views. The best part is that by day, the pool offers place for a dip, and by night it turns into an amazing lounge with a sunset happy hour.

There are of-course countless other things to do in Vegas, but these are our top 5. While all these activities are on the 4 mile strip, in reality you will walk a lot lot more than that. Paths and sidewalks are designed to make you walk through casinos (for obvious reasons!) and you end up walking 4 to 5 times of what the maps will tell you. Our advice is to wear comfortable flats, or if you must dress up in heels, then take a pair of foldable flats in your bag! You will need them!

Another popular day activity you can plan is taking a trip to see the amazing Grand Canyon. We will cover that on a separate post, but in the mean time, you can read about it here.
